About Us
PlaidyBus is perfect for kids and adults alike! We specialize in birthday parties, paint and sip, holiday parties, summer camps, corporate events, family reunions, showers, bachelorette parties, and more. You may choose between a class or “Improv” painting. Our classes are led step-by-step by a professional art instructor in a fun, informal style. “Improv” painting allows guests the freedom to paint something of their choosing with an artist on hand to help with initial sketches and offer guidance throughout. Please reference our package options and painting gallery for inspiration.

Meet Katie!
Hi! I'm Katie Wodtke, the founder and owner of PlaidyBus. I created Plaidybus based on my passion for art and my desire to make art accessible for all. Encouraging people to be open to new possibilities and uncover hidden talents is my second favorite thing. My first is the expression of joy and surprise on their faces when it happens.
In 2008, I made Columbia my home. I packed a rental truck and drove cross-country from San Francisco where I earned my BFA in sculpture. Since then, my artistic focus has shifted to painting and illustration with inspirations including pop art and childrens' books.
When I'm not making art or hosting paint parties, I may be trying new recipes or spending quality time with Maude, my favorite V.I.P. (Very Important Pup)
